Yeah, I totally just noticed, like, i'm eighteen now. I had my eighteenth birthday during my break from DA. So now i'm browsing without mature content filters, and nobody gives a shit.

So i've been reading a bit of Real Person Fanfiction lately. Here's Wikipedia on Real Person Fanfiction: [link]. If its not obvious what is is or something.

The problem I have with real person fanfiction is the lack of IC. That's the biggest one, honestly. Real people are more complex than made up characters, and its near impossible to portray them IC.
The second problem I have with real person fanfiction are the Mary Sues. Fuck the authors pairing themselves with their favorite celebrities. Especially the authors who pair themselves with celebrities which are married and/or are old enough to be their fathers.
Changing the sexualities of celebrities is also annoying. Its... purposeful OOC. Fuck that.
AND REAL PERSON SLASH. ARE PEOPLE SERIOUS. ESPECIALLY IN THE CASE OF MARY SUE/REAL PERSON FIC AND SEXUALITY CHANGE FIC. IT IS SO... SO BAD. SO BAD. BAD BAD BAD.
See, authors fantasy's with real people? They should be PRIVATE, not on the internet. And why? Because fantasy's are tailor made to the author, and are generally un-interesting (or something offensive) for others to read.

Honestly? I don't mind real person fanfiction written to be humourous. Odd, huh? Some may disagree, but in my opinion, funnyness depends less on being in character. As long as its tasteful humour, its fine with me.
